Focal Point – Images From My Pentax

I have been brave enough to offer photographic services for hire since about 1992. Unlike many of you here at Word Press, I have not been brave enough to jump into the biz full time. Nevertheless, I have had some success and would like to include a gallery of a few of my best images . . . . as if any lucid shooter would post their terrible stuff. To read more about them, or perhaps leave a comment, please use the link provided below each image to be directed to the original post on my home page.

Rural route mail box stand in winter dress

Winter Delivery

I’ll start with my header image, a favorite winter photograph with an old time charm. This mail box stand no longer stands exists, having been replaced by the newer stainless steel lock box tower common to apartment complexes. The composition is classic, and the image tells several stories while focusing on the winter theme. I have sold this print to local banks and government offices, and it remains a part of any photography workshop I may be asked to give. I am fortunate to reside in the Rocky Mountain West where the 4 seasons rule . . . . nothing wavering. Even as I post this in March, winter is melting into the first buds of spring, and soon the mailman will be sporting his USPS issue Bermuda shorts once again.
